How the stars of Married at First Sight are struggling with their newfound fame

They catapulted to fame on this year’s blockbuster season of Married at First Sight.

But since entering the spotlight, some members of the cast of the highly-rated reality show have been struggling with fame.

From public brawls, to social media outbursts, wars with online trolls and an incident at the Logie awards, the limelight has not been kind to the program’s biggest stars.

Susie Bradley, Ines Basic, Cyrell Paule, Martha Kalifatidis and Elizabeth Sobinoff have all stretched out their fifteen minutes – for all the wrong reasons.

Married At First Sight’s Susie Bradley was escorted away from a rugby league game in Byron Bay on Sunday after getting into a fight with another woman.

Shocking footage has surfaced of the mother-of-one, 26, being dragged through the crowd by two people, one of whom appears to be a security guard.

The video, which was obtained by the MAFS Funny Instagram account, shows a barefoot Susie screaming obscenities at onlookers and rubbing her nose, suggesting she may have been hurt during the incident.

The reality star was watching her boyfriend Todd Carney play in a special Ladies’ Day match when a fight broke out in the crowd.

In another video of the incident published by Daily Mail Australia on Monday, Susie can be seen lunging towards a woman watching the game.

She then turns and screams at other spectators, before pointing her finger in an accusatory manner at the people around her.

‘It was Ladies’ Day, I was sitting by the sideline watching the rugby when a fight broke out between some girls [including Susie].

They said: ‘I saw security grabbed Susie to escort her out. On her way out she was yelling, screaming at spectators and kicked another girl in the back.’

On the day of the incident, Susie shared a glamorous selfie to Instagram of her game day outfit but made no mention of the fact she was forcibly removed from the field.

In May, Ines Basic sparked concerns for her mental health after sharing a series of troubling social media posts.

The 29-year-old flooded her Instagram Story with dozens of obscene, sexually explicit captions.

One particularly offensive post showed her looking strained on MAFS, alongside the crude caption: ‘Trying a**l for the first time’.

Another post showed Ines kissing a fellow MAFS participant, Sam Ball, and was captioned: ‘Few minutes before I got f***ered and had three orgasms in a row’.

Ines, a former legal assistant from Queensland, also referenced illegal drug use during her social media spree.

She shared a photo of herself on MAFS without any makeup on, alongside the caption: ‘Me after I took 60 pills’.

Two further drug-related posts featured the text, ‘On Valium’ and ‘Excuse me sir do you sell cocaine here?’

The bizarre rant came after Ines told Woman’s Day that her life spiralled out of control after appearing on Married At First Sight.

She partly blames producers for her ordeal, claiming they made her feel ‘manipulated’ and ‘controlled’ during the experiment.

‘I really thought the whole experience was going to be fun, but behind the scenes it was so very heavily controlled,’ she said.

In a series of Instagram posts, the 30-year-old broke down in tears as she recalled being assaulted at Pelican Cafe in Shoal Bay, New South Wales in what she described as an unprovoked attack.

She claims she was called a ‘black monkey’ before having her throat grabbed by a woman.

Cyrell’s boyfriend, Love Island Australia star Eden Dally, who witnessed the attack, interjected after Cyrell began crying.

‘[The woman] called [Cyrell] a black monkey and came outside and tried to fight her so I walked in the cafe and said ‘what’s the need to be racist and call people black monkeys?’ Then she grabbed Cyrell by the throat and pushed her and I had to defend Cyrell,’ Eden said.

Then there was Martha Kalifatidis and her ‘elbowgate’ incident at the Logies on June 30.

The whole saga began when David ‘Kochie’ Koch told his Sunrise co-hosts that he was ‘bruised’ after being ‘elbowed’ by Martha on the Logies red carpet.

Kochie and his colleagues Sam Armytage, Natalie Barr and Mark Beretta mocked Martha, saying the incident supposedly happened as she was trying to be photographed.

Martha hit back in a YouTube video, denying the incident and calling the Sunrise team ‘bullies’.

Martha’s boyfriend Michael Brunelli also lashed out at the ‘arrogant’ hosts in a video after the event.

The following day Kochie told Daily Mail Australia: ‘All I’ll apologise for is putting myself in a dangerous position between her and a photographer’.

‘Apologies for my bone structure offending you. If you are choosing to ‘zoom’ in look at my stretch marks and dimples and where my tan has worn off. Look at my rolls even in this picture.’

‘People saying ‘you lost weight, how is that body confidence?’ Honey, I was posing in bikinis way back when. Do me a favour read my articles or click the link in my bio.’

She added: ‘I’m cool with me, but there are people with similar issues who are sick and tired of your nastiness. Everyone cops comments on a daily I’m just speaking out loud for a lot of people. The attention comments, are you serious? Grow up!’

‘I’m putting myself out there so others can feel better about themselves. I’m risking a lot to raise awareness. I’m going to keep posting my body. Teach body love.’
